Conversion of an existing indoor horse ménage, to provide multi-sports facilities and teaching provision,
at Crossroads Farm, Empingham.

Works involved demolishing the building back to a skeleton steel structure, and re-cladding to provide a manageable environment. Internally, the main Hall Area was re-levelled to provide a 38m x 18m playing platform (Sport England recognised standards for 4 x Badminton, 1 x Basket Ball, 1 x Volleyball, 1 x Tennis, 1 x Kwik Kricket, and a full size 5-a-side football facility.

The sports field was enclosed in full sports rebound fencing and boarding, and the sports floor was a revolutionary seamless poured acrylic surface, incorporating shockpad system, and all sports markings.

Ancillary to the sports hall are new changing facilities, showers and toilets, storage and assembly facilities at ground floor, and a Teaching suite with offices and a Gym to First Floor

Leisure Centre - East Staffordshire Council

Working on behalf of East Staffordshire Council, Carter Construction was appointed as the Principal Contractor for the construction of a new external sports flooring facility.

The project incorporated the construction of new synthetic outdoor sports field, primarily for hockey use but also suitable for most other sports. Project incorporated new dynamic shock pad, sand-filled carpet, universal line markings and spectator fencing.

The project incorporated the construction of new indoor sports flooring facilities to main sports hall and adjacent facilities hall. A seamless acrylic flooring system, with a dynamic shockpad, was utilised to provide a superb multifunctional sporting floor.
