193 Broadway
Bespoke house built for a Private Client, on Broadway in Derby. Involved extensive tree protection works, to maintain the street scene and existing foliage. Incorporating all modern technologies, insulation, photo-voltaic electric cells, underfloor heating and sustainable drainage.
Client Feedback We were completely satisfied with all aspects of our house build. The whole workforce were professional, hardworking and courteous and the quality of the work was first class. Holburn View, Codnor
Groundworks, Drains and Foundations to 5 Detached houses with 2 Garage blocks, at Holborn View, Codnor. Working on behalf of a private client, Carter Construction undertook to install the new foundations and onsite underground services, to a sloping site with substantial coal seams, including all onsite drainage extending out to and connecting to existing mains drainage in the adjacent Highways. Works included building the on-site retaining walls, all the utility connections and infrastructure, and the structural ground floor slabs.

Station Meadow View – Hazel Rise Ltd
Working in partnership with Hazel Rise Ltd, Carter Construction was contracted to provide a fully encompassing design and build package for the planning, design, construction and marketing of 24 luxurious and quality Apartments at Station Approach, Duffield. The construction works consisted of the full demolition of an existing service station and extensive ground decontamination. This was followed with a full CFA piled foundation and ring beam system, constructed under the supervision of Network Rail, due to the adjacent mainline railway. The superstructure consisted of traditional masonry construction with precast concrete floors, concrete stairs, lift-core, etc forming 4 floors of habitation, with a steel framed and traditional cut timber roof covered in a natural Spanish slate. The individual Apartments were then finished to an exceptionally high standard and specification, including all services, underfloor heating and whole house ventilation. As we strive to factor in environmentally friendly technologies where possible, Carter Construction also introduced the very latest SMART metering technology for inclusion within the project. This simple, yet effective, measure actively aids in facilitating the reduction of energy consumption used by the occupant – enabling them to reduce their carbon footprint. Externally, extensive civil works were under taken, incorporating new service mains, 100m3 stormwater attenuation system, external lighting, car park and entrance road construction, block paving and a modern architecturally designed landscape. The project also included the design and build of 8 luxury garages, using the same quality and specification of building materials utilized within the Apartments, incorporating automated garage doors and full amenities. |

Hazelwood Road – Private Client
Working on behalf of a private client, Carter Construction was contracted to provide a fully encompassing design and build package for the planning, design, construction of a Bespoke Dwelling that was ergonomic, environmentally friendly and sustainable. The construction consisted of a new dwelling that had a basement, contemporary ground floor layout, eight bedrooms over two floors and full commensurate facilities. Internally the finishing works are completed to an exceptionally high standard and specification, utilizing the very best of brands and contemporary domestic technologies. New and exciting ‘green’ systems were also incorporated throughout this project, such as rain water harvesting, next generation solar panel heating, underfloor heating and SMART metering. The project also incorporated a separate three car garage, with a first floor workshop and Apartment. |

Stanley Court – Self Financed Development
The construction of this project incorporated the forming of a new access road, complex utility extension with drainage, traditional masonry and roof construction with concrete plank flooring and stairs. The individual Apartments were then finished to a high standard with comfort in mind, creating a true modern city living experience. |
